Catholicos of All Armenians had farewell meeting with Ambassador of Switzerland

YEREVAN, MAY 23, ARMENPRESS: His Holiness Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and the Catholicos of All Armenians had a farewell meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Switzerland to the Republic of Armenia Konstantin Obolensky at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. As Armenpress was reported by the Press Service of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, at the meeting the Supreme Patriarch and the Catholicos of All Armenians expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador on the occasion of completion of the diplomatic mission in Armenia and thanked Konstantin Obolensky for the service provided during the last years and the efforts in strengthening of the Armenian-Swiss relations.

His Holiness Karekin II stated about his satisfaction concerning the attention of the Switzerland’s authorities towards the current issues in the region and the implemented steps in overcoming them.

During the meeting the interlocutors touched upon the efforts made by the religious leaders of the region’s countries towards the establishment of peace in the region, as well as the planned events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide to be held by the Armenian Apostolic Church.
