YEREVAN, MAY 23, ARMENPRESS. Italian RAI 3 TV Channel shot a documentary movie dedicated to Armenia. The documentary lasting 16 minutes titled "Armenia: The Shadow of the Past" tells about the Armenian Genocide, age-old history and culture of Armenia. As reports "Armenpress" the movie states: "Each year on April 24 hundreds and thousands Armenians go up the hill in Yerevan to commemorate the Armenian Genocide victims' memory and place flowers at the monument erected in the memory of the innocent martyrs of the 20th century's first genocide. The massacres took lives of over one million people. Turkey does not recognize the massacre of the Armenians as genocide, despite the growing number of the countries, which have officially recognized the Armenian Genocide."
Among other things the movie introduces various features of modern Armenia ranging from daily issues to economy, culture, and politics.
