Azerbaijan appeared in awkward situation because of "disappearance" of Russia's votes in "Eurovision": The Times

YEREVAN, MAY 23, ARMENPRESS. The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and Azerbaijan have temporarily put aside actual issues, the 22-year old Karabakh war for instance, and underlined that they will try to find a way out from the critical situation regarding "Eurovision" international song contest. Azerbaijan has appeared in an extremely awkward situation because of this story. Baku seeks Russia's support in protracted Karabakh conflict and in the issues of global petroleum and gas market, as well as it strives to maintain favorable relations with its neighbor. As reports "Armenpress", English The Times newspaper stated this.

Among other things the columnist finds that both Russia and Azerbaijan have a very serious attitude towards "Eurovision" international song contest. Also the newspaper noted: "The EBU has already announced that they are not going to hold revision. It's possible that Lavrov will not leave this statement without reply."

The Grand Final of "Eurovision 2013" international song contest was broadcasted live in all participating countries. Viewers and professional juries in 39 participating countries participated in the voting. Viewers and professional juries each had a 50 percent stake in the outcome.
