YEREVAN, MAY 23, ARMENPRESS: The authorities of the Republic of Armenia are for the cooperation and bridge building with the opposition. This was stated by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan at the National Assembly session held on May 23, adding that without cooperation no idea can be implemented, though the cooperation cannot be forced. “The President of our country Serzh Sargsyan supports the idea of cooperation, which is the base of his ideology”, - said Tigran Sargsyan, as reported by Armenpress.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia also stated that in the hall of the National Assembly there are people, with whom they started the movement in 1988 and saw many things together. “We have to learn lessons from the past. I think that the authorities should listen to the opposition, even in case if it is weak and split, as the opposition expresses ideas, which could be useful”, - said Tigran Sargsyan.
The Prime Minister emphasized that their commitment is to get united around the key issue. Tigran Sargsyan highlighted that without a strong opposition there would be no strong state.
The program of the Government was approved by 76 for and 41 against votes.
On May 20 the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan presented the new program of the Government, which will enable to considerably increase the pensions, provide health services in any community, widen their range and continue the deposit compensation programs.
The representatives of different factions in the National Assembly in their speeches qualified the program to be non-realistic in the settlement of the current problems and in the implementation of the further steps in the economic development of the country.
