Azerbaijan may be deprived of "Eurovision" broadcasting rights for 3 years

YEREVAN, MAY 22, ARMENPRESS. Azerbaijan's Public Television can undergo punishment connected wth "Eurovision". It may not be allowed to participate in "Eurovision" international song contest for three years or be fined. As reports "Armenpress", "RIA Novosti" news agency stated this. According to lawyer of "Yust" law firm Denis Shumsky the incorrect calculation of Russia’s votes caused a lot of noise, which first of all may end in punishment of the broadcasting channel.

In accordance with the rules of the contest, punishment is inevitable, in case of occurrence of any violation during the calculation of the votes. Among those punishments are annihilation of broadcasting rights of the contest for three year or fining the company by raising the membership fee from 5 to 10 percent.

The Grand Final of "Eurovision 2013" international song contest was broadcasted live in all participating countries. Viewers and professional juries in 39 participating countries participated in the voting. Viewers and professional juries each had a 50 percent stake in the outcome. The professional juries featured six members in each country. The televoting window was opened after all the songs have been performed.

26 wonderful acts sang their hearts out on stage, competing for the ultimate prize; the title of winner of the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest.

However, there could be just one winner and that was Emmelie de Forest from Denmark who stormed to victory with 281 points!
