YEREVAN, MAY 20, ARMENPRESS: Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia and commercial banks of Armenia held a consultation aimed at the support of the villagers who suffered from the hail. As Armenpress was informed from public relations department of Central Bank villagers of Armavir had issued a letter to the President of Central Bank Artur Javadyan, requesting to extend the deadlines of the loan payments.
“Taking into account deterioration of the financial conditions of the villagers’, commercial banks are willing to support them,” public relations department of Central Bank reported. It was also noted that there was yet no certain mechanism defined for the resolution of the issue and that each bank is free to develop its own mechanism.
Central Bank of Armenia reminds that this is not the first time that villagers suffer from the hail and banks have always supported them.
