Armenia's SCPEC to introduce research on ticket prices to Government

YEREVAN, MAY 20, ARMENRPESS. The State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition of the Republic of Armenia gave time to the air companies regarding the raise in ticket prices, so that they could render information about the costs of the tickets for the same period of the previous year. The Press Secretary of the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition of the Republic of Armenia Gayane Sahakyan stated this in a conversation with "Armenpress". Gayane Sahaklyan noted: "We must find out if there was a raise in ticket prices starting from March-April. Taking into consideration that these are not resident companies they were granted a little more time to introduce their rates, than 7-10 days prescribed by the law."

Among other things she underscored that after receiving the necessary information the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition of the Republic of Armenia will introduce the whole package of the studies to the Government of the Republic of Armenia by the end of May or June 5. In addition Sahakyan underscored: "This is an expanded research, which represents even fuel prices and the most suitable model of air transportation for Armenia along with the ticket prices."
