Edward Nalbandyan touched upon Armenia-EU cooperation in Krakow

YEREVAN, MAY 18, ARMENPRESS: The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Edward Nalbandyan participated in Krakow in the meeting of the member countries of the Visegrád Four and the meeting of the ministers of foreign affairs of the participant countries of the European Union Eastern Partnership, attended by the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy for the European Union Catherine Ashton, the European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Štefan Füle, the foreign ministers of Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Lithuania, Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia and Azerbaijan, the deputy foreign minister of Belarus and the minister for European Affairs of Ireland chairing in EU.

As Armenpress was reported by the Department for Press, Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, the participants of the meeting discussed the registered results of the cooperation in the framework of the Eastern Partnership, outlined the prospects of the cooperation, touched upon the implementation of the roadmap of the Eastern Partnership and exchanged opinions concerning the summit to be held in Vilnius.

In this context the representatives of the European Union highly appreciated in their speeches the progress in the negotiations process with Armenia.

In his statement the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Edward Nalbandyan presented the results of the final stage negotiations on the EU Association Agreement and the establishment of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Zone to the representatives of the European Union.

Concluding the statement, Edward Nalbandyan stated that Armenia has registered a considerable progress in all the main fields of the implementation of the Eastern Partnership roadmap.
