Belgium, China, and Russia buy majority of Armenian diamonds

YEREVAN, MAY 18, ARMENPRESS. Armenia's export of diamonds to Belgium recorded a growth of about 87 percent during the first three months of 2013. As reports "Armenpress", 27, 700 carats of diamond have been exported from the Republic of Armenia to Belgium during the first three months of 2013. Their total customs value is about USD 9,9 million. The Republic of Armenia exported 14,800 carats diamond to Belgium during the same period of 2012. Among the other major buyers of the Armenian diamond are China and Russia. Each of them bought 17,000 and 19,300 carats of the Armenian diamond respectively. The Republic of Armenia exported 67,300 carats diamond with total customs value exceeding USD 24 million 400 thousands.
