Non-complete isolation of fire became reason for new smoke in Spayka

YEREVAN, MAY 17, ARMENPRESS: The reason of burning of new fire in the three storey building of the Spayka Company on May 17 was the non-complete isolation of the fire on the previous day. At about 01:42 on May 17 new fire hearts were found. As Armenpress was reported by the Head of the Department for Project Management of Spayka LLC Karen Baghdasaryan, now everything has been regulated.

Karen Baghdasaryan stated that it is early to speak about the damages of the Company because of the fire. The corresponding specialists are currently carrying out researches to find out the real reasons for the fire. The Spayka was insured and the compensation issues of the fire damage caused to the cold storage will be settled according to the procedure.

Karen Baghdasaryan stated that Spayka Company will not stop its activities.

In its warehouse Spayka had wooden and plastic boxes prepared for the season of apricots, which were burnt and that was the reason why the fire was quite difficult to be extinguished. The potatoes, stored in the warehouse for export, were as well burnt. Karen Baghdasaryan informed that the Company had already paid the villagers for the products.

Fire broke out in Spayka LLC, located in 252 Arshakunyats Avenue in Yerevan. By preliminary data, the three-storey building with a total area of 5000 square meters was fully burnt. Fortunately, the fire caused no victims or wounded. Only after that it would be possible to define the total damage of the Company. The firemen of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia extinguished the fire. The Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia as well visited the place of the incident.
