YEREVAN, MAY 16, ARMENPRESS: Armenia will start issuing foreign currency bonds in the international capital market. As reported by Armenpress, this process will be regulated by the procedure approved by the Government of the Republic of Armenia. At the Executive’s session the Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan stated that it will open a new page in our country’s economic policy.
According to him, radical changes will be made in the economic policy of our country and the Government will be obliged to follow the process, as it is quite important for the economic state of the Republic of Armenia.
Tigran Sargsyan informed that if the distribution is completed successfully during this year, the Government intends to repay the loan obtained from the Russian Federation.
The Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia David Sargsyan stated that in the international markets Armenia was ceased to be considered a country having a low income. From now on the Republic of Armenia will be among the countries having medium income, in the result of which the privileged loans, that Armenia has got, will be decreased.
This will open a way for the private sector as well, which will be provided with the opportunity to enter the international markets and attract finances from there.
