Traian Hristea: Preliminary signing of Free Trade Zone Agreement with Armenia intended by end of 2013

YEREVAN, MAY 14, ARMENPRESS:The negotiations on the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Zone between Armenia and the European Union are drawing to their end.As reported by Armenpress, this was stated by the Head of the European Union’s delegation in Armenia, the Ambassador Traian Hristea on May 14, emphasizing that the preliminary signing of the agreement is intended to take place at the Vilnius summit by the end of the current year. As stated by Traian Hristea, the involvement in the Free Trade Zone is very important for Armenia and will provide with the opportunity to expand the commercial ties with the countries of the European Union.
The Head of the European Union’s delegation in Armenia is certain that a more convenient and legally protected field should be established in Armenia for the small and medium enterprises. “The European Union intends to allocate more large-scale assistance for the development of the private business in the years of 2014-2020”, - said Traian Hristea.
On February 4-7 the fourth stage of the negotiations on the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Zone between Armenia and the European Union was held in Brussels.
