Rain spoiled holiday of flowers devoted to birthday of Heydar Aliyev

YEREVAN, MAY 9, ARMENPRESS: On May 9 the leadership of Sabail district of the capital organized a celebration of flowers in the "Sahil" park. Apparently, this was to be the start of a great holiday, celebrated by the authorities on May 10.

As reported by Armenpress, quoting Turan News Agency, at first everything went as usual: music, dance, exhibitions of flowers and portraits of Heydar Aliyev. However, there was nothing about the holiday of the Victory Day on May 9, except two of the three war veterans who were walking around the square.

The Sabail district decided to compete with the mayor of the capital in the originality and placed live swans in the pool in the square. The district administration did not report what the swans should symbolize. Beautiful birds were peacefully swimming in the pool when he suddenly the fountain was turned on, and frightened swans were almost to fly away.

The holiday was spoiled by the rain, which began at about 11:00, and soon, the local government ordered to remove flowers, so that the portraits of Heydar Aliyev were not damaged.
