FIDE President: Serzh Sargsyan does much for chess development

YEREVAN, APRIL 9, ARMENPRESS:During the years of his presidency the reelected President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan does much for Armenia and the development of chess in Armenia. This statement was made by the President of the World Chess Federation Kirsan Ilyumzhinov in the interview given to Armenpress.

“Serzh Sargsyan is the leader in the development of chess not only in Armenia but also in the entire FIDE. He has made several important steps for the development of chess in Armenia”, - said Kirsan Ilyumzhinov.

The President of the World Chess Federation participated in the Inauguration Ceremony of the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan taking place at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex on April 9.
