NCTR to launch Yerevan Council of Aldermen elections monitoring since April 7

YEREVAN, MARCH 25, ARMENPRESS: National Commission on Television and Radio (NCTR) is currently conducting scheduled works regarding May 5 Yerevan Council of Aldermen elections. NCTR head Grigor Amalyan announced Commission has been undertaking monitoring of both Presidential, Parliamentary and Yerevan Council of Aldermenelections. The monitoring is scheduled to start on April 7 and last untill the day of elections inclusive . ''We shall soon submit television monitoring methodology regarding forthcoming elections to the Central Electoral Committee'' NCTR head stated on March 25, Armenpress reports.

Yerevan City Council elections will be held on May 5, 2013.List and documents required for registration to the Central Electoral Committee (CEC) expires on March 21. RPA, PAP, ANC, ARF, "Mission", Rule of Law parties and Barev Yerevan (Hello Yerevan) party alliance have already filed for registration with the Central Election Commission for the vote slated for May 5. The registration process concludes on March 31. Campaigning for the elections will officially start on April 7.
