National Assembly to convene extraordinary session at Sports and Concert Complex on April 9

YEREVAN, MARCH 20, ARMENPRESS: The National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia is scheduled to launch a special session at Sports and Concert Complex after Karen Demirchyan on April 9. The decision submitted by NA RPA fraction chairman Galust Sahakyan was on the agenda of legislative body during the March 20 session. 66 MPs voted for the decision, 6 voted against and 25 abstained. The National Assembly special session scheduled to be convened at Sports and Concert Complex is going to host the inauguration of re-elected President Serzh Sargsyan.

The President of the Republic shall assume the office in conformity with the procedure prescribed by the law at the special sitting of the National Assembly by swearing the following oath to the people: "Assuming the office of the President of the Republic of Armenia I swear: to fulfill the requirements of the Constitution in an unreserved manner; to respect the fundamental human and civil rights and freedoms; to ensure the protection, independence, territorial integrity and security of the Republic to the glory of the Republic of Armenia and to the welfare of the people of the Republic of Armenia."
