Czech strong alcoholic beverages again to be imported to Armenia

YEREVAN, MARCH 13, ARMENPRESS: The State Food Security Service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia has removed the ban regarding the import of alcoholic beverages from the Czech Republic to Armenia. The State Food Security Service Press Secretary Babken Pipoyan told Armenpress, the March 5 record submitted by Pernod Ricard Armenia company head served the basis for the decision. The import of Czech strong alcoholic beverages to Armenia has been banned started from September 2012. Then 22 cases of death by poisoning were recorded in the Czech Republic, conditioned by the content of methanol in the beverage, several European countries then refused to import them.
Pipoyan states regardless the fact some European countries removed the ban earlier, Armenia removed it only after commissioning serious checking and thorough examinations.
