Armenia's Police assure electoral register is precise

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 18, ARMENPRESS: The Police of the Republic of Armenia informs: all the citizens eligible to vote are registered only in one election list, reportedly their names cannot be found in other lists. Armenia's Police Passport and Visa Department head, Police Colonel Hovhannes Kocharyan came forth in CEC information center on February 18, Armenpress reports. The total number of the voters included in the voters' register of the Republic of Armenia is 2.505.980 by February 17. Information Center of the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Armenia is scheduled to inform the public about the participation activity at 12:00, 15:00, 18:00 and 21:00, reportedly present the full picture about the number of voters observed at 11:00, 14:00, 17:00, 20:00. There are seven contenders running for president in the Republic of Armenia. The names of the presidential candidates are introduced in the alphabetical order in the ballots. They are as follows: Hrant Bagratyan, Paruyr Hayrikyan, Raffi Hovhannisian, Andrias Ghukasyan, Arman Melikyan, Serzh Sargsyan, Vardan Sedrakyan. Local and international NGO’s will follow the course of the presidential elections. 632 observers of 12 international organizations and 6251 observers of 26 local organizations will conduct observation mission.
