Aronyan to compete with Van Wely in the first round of the tournament

YEREVAN, JANUARY 12, ARMENPRESS: Dutch town of Wijk aan Zee hosted international chess championship called ''Tata Steel'' tournament, Armenian Grand Master Levon Aronyan is also participating in it. As Armenpress reports citing tournament's official website FIDE rankings leaders namely GM Magnus Carlsen, GM Indian champion Viswanathan Anand, GM Russian representative Sergey Karjakin, GM Hungarian Peter Leko, GM Italian Caruana Fabiano. In the first round of the tournament Aronyan is set to compete forces with Van Wely.

Tata steel international tournament is being launched since 2011. The first winner was GM Hikaru Nakamura. Currently Armenian GM Levon Aronyan is the acting champion of the tournament.
