Armenian and Argentinean foreign ministers recorded the high level of bilateral relations

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 4, ARMENPRESS: On the invitation of Foreign affairs minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian on September 3-5 Argentinean FM Hector Timerman is in Armenia on official visit. During ht joint press conference in Foreign affairs ministry Edward Nalbandian mentioned that Armenian-Argentinean relations have active and cooperative character. "About our warm relations speaks the fact that we opened our first embassy in Latin America in this country. Argentina is the first Latin American country with which we eliminated visa regime" said the minister.

Edward Nalbandian informed that during the negotiations there was a reverberation to a wide range of issues concerning the expanding cooperation between countries as well as about regional and international issues. They also discussed NK conflict and issues concerning Malvinas. "We have the same opinion that conflicts should be solved peacefully based on the principles and norms of international law" mentioned Edward Nalbandian.

Hector Timerman also agreed with Nalbandian and mentioned: "Argentina is for peace". In his words the historical links between two countries with the "first Armenians who went to live in Argentina”. "Argentina has cooperation projects in many Armenian fields" assured the minister.

He also informed that Argentinean President is interested in inviting Serzh Sargsyan to Argentina.
