YEREVAN, JULY 24, ARMENPRESS: Turkish ‘’Hurriyet’’ newspaper editor staff has apologized its readers for attributing Armenian architect Sarkis Palyan of Italian nature.

As Armenpress reports, the newspaper in one of its "Victorious Padishah mosque" article wrote as if ‘’ "Yildiz Abdul Hamid’’ mosque architect is Italian by nature, meaning Sargis Palyan. Yet on July 24, the editors make amendments in the news, stating ‘’Sargis Palyan is not Italian, but Armenian’’.

Sargis Palyan stems from the 18-19 centuries Constantinople Armenian architects and artists famous dynasty. He was educated in Paris. Sargis Palyan is the single non- muslin that has been entitled by Ottoman Empire chief architect title.
