Edward Nalbandian to leave for Belgium

YEREVAN, JULY 21, AREMENPRESS: Foreign affair minister of the Republic of Armenia Edward Nalbandian will leave for Brussels in order to take part in the meeting of foreign affairs ministers of Eastern Partnership member countries. Armenpress was informed about this from Media, information and public relations department of Armenian Foreign affairs ministry.

The Eastern Partnership is meant to complement the Northern Dimension by providing an institutionalised forum for discussing visa agreements, free trade deals and strategic partnership agreements with the EU's eastern neighbours, while avoiding the controversial topic of accession to European Union. Its geographical scope is to consist of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova. The Eastern Partnership does not have its own secretariat, but would be controlled directly by the European Commission.
