Economic growth registered in January

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 20, ARMENPRESS: As compared with January of the past year, this year 4.4% growth of GDP has been registered. Official from the National Statistical Service told Armenpress the volume of the industrial products in the same period made 71 billion 597.5 million AMD, increasing by 21% as compared with January of the past year.
In the first month of 2012, 764.2 million kilowatt hours of electricity has been produced which is 16.9% more as compared with the same span of the past year. Agricultural GDP made 15 billion 787.3 million AMD in January, which is 0.1% more as compared with the past year.
The inflation in the republic reached 4.8%. The average salary in the first month of 2012 made 113 thousand AMD, which is 7.4% more as compared with the January 2011.
The foreign trade circulation of Armenia in the first month of 2012 made 133.9 billion AMD. Products amounting to 27.7 billion AMD have been exported and 106.2 billion AMD imported.
