YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 17, ARMENPRESS: First lady of Armenia, Mrs. Rita Sargsyan on February 17 attended the benevolent concert for children “The Boat of Hope” held at the Alexander Spendiarian National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. The concert was dedicated to the International Day of Children with Cancer. The entire profit from the concert will be transferred to the “Donate Life” benevolent fund.
"This fund was set up years ago with great enthusiasm. It received a new energy when headed by the First Lady of Armenia," Levon Igityan, member of the Board of Trustees of "Donate Life", told journalists. He said the treatment of the decease is expensive, but it is important that the number of the recovered children has grown. "We have taken a good path and feel the results," he stressed.
This year the traditional initiative of "Donate Life" fund was significant for the exclusive gift by Rita Sargsyan. First Lady of Armenia prepared a surprise for children – a new song was presented: the author of the music is Rita Sargsyan and the author of the words – Avet Barseghyan. The song was performed with participation of a group of children by accompaniment of Rita Sargsyan. In a conversation with journalists Rita Sargsyan said that the song is kind, happy and dreamlike.
