Renowned composer Georgi Movsesyan passed away

Russia-based merited composer and song writer Georgi Movsesyan passed away at age 67, ITAR-TASS reported, citing the president of the Russian composers' union Vladislav Kazanin. The latter did not specify the causes of death of the renowned composer.

Georgi Movsesyan was born on August 2, 1945 in Kharkov. A graduate of the Gnessin State Musical College, he composed his first song – "Road" – in 1965. His most prominent pieces include "My Years My Richness", "Birch", "Seeing off Love".
