International meeting of officials coordinating security issues wraps up

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 6, ARMENPRESS: The international meeting of the officials coordinating security issues from about 6 dozen of countries wrapped up in Sochi. The meeting was held on the initiative of the Security Council of Russia.

Press service of the RA National Security Council told Armenpress that within the framework of the meeting Secretary of Armenia’s National Security Council Arthur Baghdasaryan had bilateral meetings with Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolay Patrushev, Secretary General of the French National Security and Defense Council Francis Delon, with Roland Bombardella, high commissioner for national protection, Luxembourg, as well as with the Security Minister of China, and Coordinator of cooperation between the Austrian National Security Council and Foreign Affairs Ministry.

Issues on establishment and development of cooperation between security councils of Armenia and mentioned countries were discussed. The interlocutors exchanged thoughts over opportunities of joint efforts toward confronting international security threats.

The delegation headed by Arthur Baghdasaryan will arrive back in Armenia today.
