The digitalization of the personal books of Hovhannes Tumanyan to start from September

YEREVAN, AUGUST 17, ARMENPRESS; The digitalization of the personal books of Hovhannes Tumanyan will start from September of the running year. Part of them is in the Armenia’s Literature Museum, part in Art Museum and in Hovhannes Tumanyan Museum.

Director of the Hovhannes Tumanyan museum Narine Tukhikyan said these works may continue for decades as the digitalization demands scrupulous and hard work.

Hovh. Tumanyan museum has 8150 personal books of the writer which are sometimes being filled with new ones. This year in spring director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Hayk Demoyan donated Gh. Aghayan’s “Mother Tongue” text-book which posses the personal seal of Tumanyan’s personal library.

“Tumanyan loved collecting books and that is why they must be preserved in any way,” Tukhikyan said.
