The repair was funded by VivaCell. The project was initiated by a non- government organization-Children are First, chaired by Mrs. Nani Oskanian. A total of 41 million Drams were spent on the complete overhaul of the kindergarten. Mrs. Oskanian said the kindergarten will have a computer center and besides the children will be taught a foreign language. “This building stood idle for years and was ran-down. We asked Dilijan authorities to allow us to remodel it into a children development center. This building will serve also as a summer camp for Diaspora children visiting Armenia,” she said. The furniture was donated by a Los Angeles-based Hayrenik (homeland) Union.
