KARABAKH FOREIGN MINISTER CALLS FOR DIALOGUE BETWEEN STEPANAKERT AND BAKU

STEPANAKERT, MAY 3, ARMENPRESS:Nagorno Karabakh foreign affairs minister Naira Melkumian told in an interview with the RFE/RL that "now everyone understands that without full participation of Karabakh representatives in the negotiation process the conflict would not be resolved." Back from trips to France and Russia, where she had had meetings with senior officials of these countries, she said there is not even a slightest progress in building a reciprocal confidence climate and approaching the peace deal. Agreeing that the current phase of the process was not effective, she however, disagreed with opinions that the conflict has entered into a deadlock. She reiterated that the dialogue should start between Azerbaijan and Karabagh.
