YEREVAN, JULY 4, ARMENPRESS. International institutions have been informed that the Azerbaijani troops fired irregularly at the civilians of Talish village in Karabakh harvesting wheat on June 30 at 14:10. On the same day the head of Talish community Vilen Petrosyan submitted a statement about it to the Human Rights Defender’s office in Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh). The head of the community also informed that harvesting has been halted for security reasons.

NKR Ombudsman Ruben Melkonyan has harshly condemned the incident as an attempt to deprive people of life or property. The Ombudsman called on international human rights organizations, particularly those located in Azerbaijan, to take appropriate steps to prevent similar incidents.
