YEREVAN, OCTOBER 13, ARMENPRESS. Russian popular "Fashion Judgment" TV program made reference to peculiarities of Armenian national costumes. “Armenpress” reports that the director of “Teryan” culture center Lilit Melikyan was the guest of the program broadcasted on Channel One Russia.

Broadcaster, fashion historian Alexander Vasilyev greeted Lilit Melikyan in Armenian. The latter introduced 4 male and female Armenian national costumes with the features of Vaspurakan, Karin and Urfa.

“Red color was fashionable in Vaspurakan, and that color predominated on the dresses. Armenians considered the red color as protective”, Lilit Melikyan mentioned.

She also introduced the peculiarities of Armenian national costumes and spoke about Armenian ornaments.
