Congo Foreign Minister learned about Armenian history and culture during student years

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 9, ARMENPRESS. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Edward Nalbandian, met with his counterpart from Congo, Jean Claude Gakosso on October 9.

As ''Armenpress'' was informed from the Department of Press, Information and Public Relations of Republic of Armenia MFA, greeting the guest, Minister Nalbandian mentioned that it is a pleasure to meet in Yerevan 2 weeks after their meeting in New York and continues discussions over development of bilateral relations.

Minister Gakosso expressed gratitude for the cordial reception and emphasized that while being a student in Leningrad (currently St. Petersburg) he had the opportunity to familiarize himself with the history and culture of the Armenian nation and now he is very glad to represent his country in this important event of Francofone family in Yerevan.

During the meeting an agreement of forming a legal framework and deepening partnership in international organizations was reached.

Foreign minister of Congo introduced the developments in Africa, foreign policy priorities of his country, as well as economic and investment potentials of his country.
