Armenia to increase support to UN peacekeeping mission

YEREVAN, JULY 28, ARMENPRESS: The delegation, headed by the First Deputy of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia David Tonoyan, is in the United States of America from July 27 to 31 on a working visit. The press service of the Ministry of Defense informed Armenpress that on July 27 David Tonoyan and the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Armenia in UN, the Ambassador Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with the UN Assistant Secretary-General for Rule of Law and Security Institutions in the Department of Peacekeeping Operations Dmitry Titov and the UN Secretary General Chief of Staff of the Military Officer, Brigadier General Ahmed Mohamed.

During the meetings the First Deputy of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia David Tonoyan stated that Armenia will continue getting actively involved in the international security operations and will increase its support to the peacekeeping missions of the United Nations.
