YEREVAN, JUNE 24, ARMENPRESS: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation responded to the demonstrations, held in Yerevan because of the rise of the electricity tariff. Armenpress reports, citing ITAR TASS that the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Grigory Karasin expressed hope that the Government of Armenia and the demonstrators will reach a compromise.

“We are attentively following the events taking place in Armenia during the recent days. We hope that all this would not go out of the law bounds. We believe in the common sense and intelligence of the Armenian authorities. According to the information we have, we may hope that a compromise decision can be made on the issues raised by the demonstrators”, - stated Karasin.
