Hrant Melkumyan ended chess matches at Zalakaros tournament

YEREVAN, 23 MAY, ARMENPRESS. Member of the Armenian national chess team Hrant Melkumyan ended his matches at the Zalakaros chess tournament in Hungary.

 The member of the chess team scored 5.5 out of the possible 9 points and won the 16th place. In the last round, Melkumyan won Robert Tolman, and Latvian chess player Igor Kovalenko won the tournament after scoring 7 points. As “Armenpress” reports, it’s still unclear as to which tournament the team’s newcomer will participate in next. Melkumyan is entitled to participate in the play-offs for the Chess World Cup to be held in Baku in September.
