Armenian citizen tries to take 50 kilograms of silver to Georgia

YEREVAN, 22 MAY, ARMENPRESS. The officers of the "Sarpi" checkpoint (Georgian-Turkish border) detained the Armenian citizen L. Kh.. The officers searched him and his vehicle, during which they discovered more than 4 kilograms of gold and 50 kg of silver granules. As “Armenpress” reports, on May 21, the Georgian Finance Ministry's Revenue Service informed about this.

The Armenian citizen tried to pass undeclared goods to the territory of Georgia, which was found in the front right and left wings of the vehicle, as well as in the jacket’s pocket.

The total cost of the goods was GEL 274 thousand 394 (about 122 thousand dollars). The case materials were transferred to the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia.
