PACE delegates stood and respected memory of Armenian Genocide victims

YEREVAN, 21 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. The delegations of the member states of all delegations to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, except for the Turkish delegation, stood and respected the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide and all genocides with a moment of silence. During the PACE session, member of the Armenian delegation to the PACE Levon Zurabyan had suggested respecting the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide and all genocides with a moment of silence, as Deputy of the faction of Prosperous Armenia Party in the National Assembly, member of the Armenian delegation to the PACE Vahan Babayan wrote on his Facebook page.

“A short while ago, my fellow delegate Levon Zurabyan suggested respecting the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide and all genocides with a moment of silence during the PACE session. The members of the Armenian delegation stood up, and the President of the PACE suggested accepting Levon Zurabyan’s call and respect the memory of the victims of all genocides with a moment of silence. All the delegates stood up, even the Azerbaijani delegates, but the Turkish delegates remained seated,” wrote Babayan.
