OSCE and Armenia's Police to deepen partnership

YEREVAN, 26 FEBRUARY, ARMENPRESS. On February 26, Chief of Police of the Republic of Armenia, Lieutenant-General Vladimir Gasparyan received Head of the OSCE Office in Yerevan, Ambassador Andrey Sorokin. As the press service of the Police of the Republic of Armenia reports to “Armenpress”, Vladimir Gasparyan touched upon the issues in the second stage of police reforms and mentioned that the progress that was made over the past three years was also due to the close partnership with the OSCE Office in Yerevan. The cooperation was effective in the introduction of the model of community policing, improvement of the physical readiness of the personnel of the Police, as well as in the fight against transnational and cyber crimes and in several other directions.

 Andrey Sorokin attached importance to the high level of partnership and assured that the partnership would continue and would grow deep in the already traditional and new sectors that are in the context of reforms within the Police of the Republic of Armenia and in the context of implementation of joint programs.
