EP values deepening of EU-Armenia cooperation: Riszard Czarnecki

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 20, ARMENPRESS:  On December 19 the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Artak Zakaryan, the members of the Committee Tevan Poghosyan, Naira Karapetyan and Edmon Marukyan met with Riszard Czarnecki, the Vice President of the European Parliament and the member of the Euronest PA Bureau.
The Department for Mass Media and Public Relations of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia informed Armenpress that during the meeting talking about Armenia-European Union relations the sides expressed readiness to develop and deepen the cooperation. The interlocutors have also discussed the new ways of cooperation.
Touching upon the events dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide, Artak Zakaryan invited the Vice President of the European Parliament to Armenia in 2015 to take part in the Forum on Prevention of Genocides.
Speaking about the RA-EU relations, the members of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations highlighted the EU support in the reforms being implemented in Armenia.
Thanking the attendees for the reception, Riszard Czarnecki has noted that the European Parliament highlights the deepening of the EU-Armenia cooperation and will continue the support for the efforts made in that direction.
In the course of the meeting the sides referred to the works of the Fourth Ordinary Session of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly to be held in Armenia next year.
