YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 26, ARMENPRESS: Turkey's General Council on Foundations has adopted a decision to return 42,259 square meters territory to the foundation of Istanbul’s Armenian Saint Savior hospital. As Armenpress reports citing the Turkish “Haberler.com”, Istanbul’s Zeytinburnu Stadium is included in the territory returned to Armenia.

The final decision of returning the Armenian property was adopted on 22 January 2014. But the Zeitinburnu Municipality had appealed against the decision, reasoning that the decision of the returning the territory to the Armenian community is illegal. Nevertheless, the court did not satisfy the claim of the municipality, leaving the territory to the Armenian community.

President of the Executive Council of Saint Savior hospital Bedros Şirinoğlu noted that they want to make use of the territory in a most efficient way. According to him, in all probability a commercial center or a hotel will be constructed in that territory, and the income received from it will be used for meeting the needs of the hospital and community.
