Georgia promises to restore gas supply to Armenia in 2-3 days

YEREVAN, AUGUST 21, ARMENPRESS. Georgian authorities promise to restore the gas pipeline in 2-3 days which has been affected by the landslide in Lars and to resume natural gas supplies to Armenia, after his meeting with Armenia’s Prime Minister, Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili told reporters. "During the meeting Mr. Prime Minister touched upon the Armenian-Georgian pipeline, affected last night due to a landslide in Lars. We promise to restore gas supply within 2-3 days," as reports “Armenpress”, said Irakli Gharibashvili.

On August 21 landslide occurred in Georgia’s Darial Gorge. According to preliminary information, there are no victims. According to the deputy head of the administration of the Kazbegi Municipality Givi Kirikashvili the landslide came down in the same place where it was in May. The specialists are already working at the scene.
