YEREVAN, AUGUST 20, ARMENPRESS. Today Ambassador Heffern met with some members of the Armenian Yezidi community at the U.S. Embassy. They discussed the current situation for Yezidis in Iraq and the U.S. involvement there. As “Armenpress” was informed from the U.S. Embassy to Armenia, Ambassador Heffern underlined the United States Government’s ongoing efforts to alleviate the Yezidis’ humanitarian plight in Iraq and its commitment to their wellbeing.
