DILIJAN, JULY 25, ARMENPRESS. The Government of the Republic of Armenia has no intention to cancel the agreement of property sale and purchase between “Vorotan Hydroelectric Power Plant Complex” CJSC, American “Contour global hydrocascade” and “C-G solutions global holding company”, signed on January 29. "The Government is interested in the realization of the deal, but it should be for the benefit of the Republic of Armenia. There is a great desire to have large investments. I will not sign any deal, which would harm the economic interests of the country. In this respect, there is no pressure on me, and cannot be. We have introduced to the American side the approaches with which we disagree," reports “Armenpress”, citing Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan.

Referring to the talks, according to which, if the transaction is canceled, “Vorotan Hydroelectric Power Plant Complex” CJSC will be sold to the Russian side, Hovik Abrahamyan underscored: “If this transaction is canceled, while I am the Prime Minister, I will not allow the transfer of “Vorotan HPP Complex” to another country”.
