YEREVAN, JULY 7, ARMENPRESS. The aim of the Turkish "Taraf" newspaper’s publication of information on the opening of the Armenian-Turkish border was to examine the moods and in this way to try to understand the public's attitude. During the July 7 conference, this opinion was expressed by Turkologist Artak Shakaryan, who was skeptical from the beginning about the information, spread by the Turkish media and denied by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, that the Armenian-Turkish border will be opened in autumn. Surely, the border will not be opened, but the turkologist advises to take more seriously especially the information spread by "Taraf". “It is not the first time that "Taraf" spreads information about the Armenian-Turkish relations, some of which is later confirmed” – noted Shakaryan, in response to the question of “Armenpress”.

The turkologist does not exclude that there will be plenty of such statements until April 24, 2015. Their goal will be to show the world that Turkey does not have any problems with the Armenians and Armenia.
