YEREVAN, MARCH 12, ARMENPRESS:  GM Vladimir Hakobyan played in a draw with GM Hrant Melkumyan in the 9th round of the 15th individual championship of Europe ongoing in Yerevan. GM Gabriel Sargsyan defeated Arman Pashikyan.

Hakobyan and Sargsyan have 6.5 points each out of 9 possible and continue to apply for high places in the tournament.

Armenpress reports that those games were among central games of the stage.

The ninth round was exceptional in the quantity of draws. The leader of the tournament Russian GM Alexander Motylev played in a draw with Alexander Moiseenko and continues to lead the list with 7.5points.
