YEREVAN, DECEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS: 152 houses, 65 trees, 5 trains and even an underground station of a subway. This gingerbread village is massive in every way and definitely too beautiful to destroy and eat. It weighs 1,5 tons. Armenpress reports, citing ITAR-TASS that this record-setting gingerbread village was put together by New York chef Jon Lovitch and incorporates 500 pounds of gingerbread, 400 pounds of candy and 2,240 pounds of icing.
The price of this beautiful village was not too bad when you think about the size, the amazing creativity and of course the ingredients incorporated into it. When finished the price tag amounted to around a couple of thousand dollars, but the money and effort put into it was not in vain as it is now entered into the Guinness Book of World Records, something that any chef would be quite proud of having achieved.
