YEREVAN, AUGUST 7, ARMENPRESS:7 000 homeless families of disaster zone will improve their dwelling conditions till 2013. Armenian Urban Minister Vardan Vardanyan noted at today’s event organized on the occasion of the Day of a Constructor, that though the volume of construction in Armenia has decreased conditioned by the global economic crisis, no project in disaster zone has been reduced. Only in Gyumri over 3 000 apartments will be constructed, 1 320 families in “Mush 2” district will be ensured with apartments already in November of the running year. The construction works of “Ani” district have begun, and in July of 2010 other 254 apartments will be given to exploitation. The rest of the works will be finished by 2011. That’s not only dwelling apartments, but integral districts with their infrastructures – education, green areas, streets, yards in favorable conditions, will be given to final exploitation as well. According to V. Vardanyan, this year numerous families in Spitak, Stepanavan, in a dozen of rural communities will celebrate housewarming parties. “Those dwelling apartments are being constructed with high quality, have a great resource of seismic stability, whereas the construction is being implemented in minimal terms, as such is the demand of the state leadership on us – constructors”, the Minister said. He attached importance to the government’s decision on not reducing any project of social nature. According to V. Vardanyan, the reconstruction and renovation works of general educational schools will be accomplished in time as well. “Only 3 weeks have remained for the beginning of a new academic year, and I can already assure that all the schools that are being restored by the assignment of the Urban Ministry, will be completely ready on September 1 for beginning the educational process”, V. Vardanyan added.
