YEREVAN, DECEMBER 20, ARMENPRESS. Under Vardan Harutyunyan’s assignment, president of the State Revenue Committee (SRC), regular meetings with business operators are being held in the (SRC). The purpose of the state-business consultations is identifying main risks according to sectors and engaging mechanisms aimed at decreasing those risks, the press service of the SRC told ARMENPRESS.

As result of researching the information database, the SRC identified the risks in each fair (market) and presented them to all addressees, expecting to adjust the tax payment process to the legislative demands in a defined period of time. In terms of shadow operations in the works of the fairs’ organizers, it was recorded that tax risks are observed among business operators engaged within the fairs.

According to Karen Brutyan, first deputy president of the SRC, the committee will continue its efforts in effectively tackling shadow economy. Refraining from harsh penalties, the SRC prefers to clarify the steps aimed at decreasing the risks through discussions with the business community.
