Armenian Government interested in raising efficiency of projects being implemented jointly with 
WB

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 7, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan received on December 7 World Bank Vice President for Europe and Central Asia Cyril Muller.

Highlighting the financial and technical support rendered by the World Bank to Armenia, the PM mentioned that the Government is interested in deepening future cooperation and raise the efficiency of the projects being implemented. Karen Karapetyan suggested examining the possibility of WB’s involvement in state administration reforms, as well as the activities of the Strategic initiatives center to be set soon.

As “Armenpress” was informed from the press service of the Armenian Government, Cyril Muller assessed the cooperation with Armenian partners as productive and expressed WB’s further readiness to closely cooperate in the directions of the upcoming reforms in the Government of Armenia, implementation of project priorities as well as development of SMEs.

Referring to the improvement of business environment, Karen Karapetyan stressed that the Government will confidently pursue the goal of creating maximally transparent business environment and added that there is no alternative to that. The PM also mentioned that he sees economic development of Armenia in the context of effective regional cooperation.
