YEREVAN, DECEMBER 7, ARMENPRESS. Vahe Makaryan, reporter of the “Hraparak” daily, announced that he has been punched by lawmaker Rubik Hakobyan in the Parliament.

An altercation occurred between the reporter and the MP during a briefing in Parliament, and the lawmaker invited the reporter to have a private talk.

The lawmaker requested the reporters – who were following them – to stay back, stressing he wants to talk privately with Makaryan. Afterwards, the reporter said MP Hakobyan had punched him in the eye during their private talk.

Reporters tried to talk to the lawmaker, but Hakobyan refused to speak, saying he is busy.
